Mission Statement

The BHS Medical Science Academy provides a nurturing, student-centered college preparatory environment in which all students will develop academic skills, advanced technical skills, leadership qualities, and self-advocacy that allow for their successful transition into college, careers, and adulthood. All students will succeed in an environment, which encourages rigorous academics and empathetic and ethical behavior. The health science theme is integrated throughout all curricular areas. Students have the opportunity to earn college credit while taking courses at Bartlett.

Skills

Experience hands on opportunities learning skills such as CPR, splinting, prescription preparation, ankle taping, dissection and more.

Leadership

Join HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and attend the statewide conference to participate in networking, leadership development and skills competitions.

Character

Work as a team to understand the importance of communication, dedication, gratitude, and perseverance in a health care setting as well as for personal growth.

Opportunity

Bartlett students have access to KCC classes like Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, Veterinary Science and more. Internships and mentorships and job shadowing can all help narrow down fields of interest and expose students to authentic experiences.
